COMMON SCHEDULE OF RATES (SoR) AS PER A.P. REVISED STANDARD
A Schedule of Rates SoR is a document that contains a list of materials, labor, and equipment necessary for a construction project. The schedule lists the unit price and quantity of each item needed to complete the work. The purpose of a schedule of rates is to provide an accurate and consistent estimate of the cost of a project. It is also used to determine the amount of money that will be paid to each contractor or supplier. A schedule of rates SoR can be used for both commercial and residential projects. It is often used in conjunction with a bill of quantities (BOQ).
The purpose of a Schedule of Rates SoR is to provide a standard pricing structure for similar work across different projects. This ensures that all parties involved in the tendering and contracting process are aware of the prices that will be charged for certain types of work. This transparency can help to avoid disputes and misunderstandings down the line.
